4.10.12 Forget Me Knodt Website

We have just updated Forget Me Knodt Website on time. Forget Me Knodt - Janessa Knodt's floral design business - was featured on Daily Candy on April 9! I'm so proud of FMK and honored to be given this project.

I initially designed and developed the branding and website a couple years ago and lliked what I did at that time, but now I love this updated site even more. Thanks to Colin Bayer for doing the backend programming so quickly to make the site live right on time too!

If you live in the Chicago area and need flower arrangements for any type of events, you should check it out FMK. Janessa is not only talented, but she is such a lovely and awesome person. You won't regret, I promise!

Children's Memorial Hospital Launch DM

This project was to announce a new partnership between Children's Memorial Hospital and Central DuPage Hospital. This DM was very successful and received a lot of responses. It also won a Gold Aster Award and a Gold Healthcare Marketing Award.

ABOUT IKO

I'm a graphic designer/art director and printmaking artist in Chicago. I was born and raised in Japan, and originally came here as a student, planning to stay just for 1-2 years to study English, but I ended up staying for a long time. Now I have my own family, work, friends here and Chicago seems to be my home.

BACKGROUND

I'm currently working for Point B Communications as an Art Director. I also do some freelance work as a designer/art director on the side.

I have degrees from the following schools:

• Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design, an honors Student, Columbia College Chicago, 2000.
• Associate Degree in Commercial Art, an Honors Student, Harold Washington College, 1998

SPECIALITIES & SKILLS

My specialties are:

Art Direction / Print Collateral / Corporate Identity / Print and Online Advertising / Web Site Design / Email Marketing / Interface Design. Special emphasis on conceptual design and communication goals, and high attention to detail.

My computer skills include:

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

During my professional career, I received the following awards:

2009 Aster Awards (Gold) / 2007 Healthcare Marketing Awards (Gold) / 2007 Aster Awards (Gold) / 2005 Webby Awards (Worthy Selection) / 2003 SXSW Web Awards (Grrl Category).

When I was a student, I received:
1997-98 Academic Excellence Scholarship from Harold Washington College.

For my personal life, I have run 6 Marathons and got qualified for Boston Marathon in 2009.
